PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis)
- PrEP is a pill taken once a day that’s over 96% effective in preventing HIV.
- Prism Health North Texas offers comprehensive PrEP services as components of HIV treatment and prevention.
- You can get PrEP at little to no cost.
- PrEP is not a substitute for condoms and does not prevent the spread of other sexually transmitted infections. You should always combine PrEP with safer sex methods (i.e. condoms, lube, regular testing) for full protection.
